Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis

The Pharmaceutical analysis is a branch of practical chemistry that involves a series of process for identification, determination, quantification and purification of a substance, separation of the components of a solution or mixture, or determination of structure of chemical compounds. This course comprises various subjects like modern pharmaceutical analytical techniques, advanced pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical validation, food analysis, advanced instrumental analysis, modern bioanalytical techniques, quality control and quality assurance, herbal and cosmetic analysis.

UV-VISIBLE SPECTROPHOTOMETER

UV/Vis Spectroscopy is routinely used in analytical chemistry for the quantitative determination of different analytes, such as transition metal ions, highly conjugated organic compounds, and biological macromolecules. Solvent polarity and pH can affect the absorption spectrum of an organic compound.
