The Post-Graduate Centre at Gadwal was established under Osamania University, Hyderabad in the year 1993 with a 3 year M.C.A., and M.Com., courses. The P.G. Centre was defunct till 2012 as there was no intake of students. The P.G. Centre at Gadwal was reopened in February,2013 and became part of Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar,Telangana State. The Centre got reopened with the main objective of imparting post-graduate education to the rural youth in the backward area like Gadwal which occupies lowest literacy rate in the newly formed Telangana State.

The P.G. Centre at Gadwal is located in a beautiful and serene campus on the banks of Krishna river in the area about 17 acres. The campus is five kilometers away from Gadwal town. The P.G. Centre was initially started with M.A., Telugu in February,2013(2012-13). The P.G. Centre also offered M.A., English course with the initiation of the present Director, P.G. Centres, Palamuru University and the Head of the Department of English, Palamuru University campus Dr. G. Manoja consequently during the academic year 2013-14.

  • The esteemed Vice-Chancellor Prof. Laxmikanth Rathod is kind enough to announce the introduction of one more post-graduate course M.B.A. from the academic year 2021-22 in P.G. Centre, Gadwal, Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar. Presently the programmes offfered are M.A. Telugu, M.A. English, M.Com.,M.Sc. Computer Science and M.B.A.
  • The free transportation of the students is also arranged from Gadwal town to P.G. Centre by the University authorities as the campus is 5 kilometres away from the town.
  • The Unit of N.S.S. could not be established as the intake of the students was below 100 students only.
  • The Health centre, The Placement Cell, The Grievance Redressal Cell and the Women's Cell are yet to be established.
  • Currently the P.G. Centre is maintained with Hostel facility for Boys and Girls.Two seprarate hostels for both men and women have been constructed and accomodation is provided for all students of PG programmes.
  • The facilities and materials are yet to be provided for Games and Sports on the campus.
  • The P.G. Centre is equipped with a spacious Library which provides books on Telugu Literature, Commerce and Computer Science.
