Department Profile
The Department of Social Work was established in 2015 under the Palamuru Universityat Kollapur P.G. centrewith four semesters with 40 intake seats and offering Master of social work (MSW) for the benefit of student community and region. The department since its inception strived for academic excellence and incredible field experience in creating and contributing to academic and issue based ambience for the students. Students are empowered with auxiliary knowledge of field workexperience. The curriculum of course covers various rural development and field experience to the students. The students are also trained in community participation and social activities. The Department of Social Work has four faculty members having UGC-NET, SLET and pursuing PhD’s in various universities. It also provides two specializations for the students. The details of faculty and specializations are mentioned below.
